Lene Lovich Band (UK) / Barbara Gogan (UK)

Post- Punk -Pop Singer Legende

Detroit-born legendary post-punk pop singer Lene Lovich hit the top of the UK charts with her single “Lucky Number” in 1979, and was crowned the “Queen of Quirk”, influencing a generation of pop and alternative acts, from Nina Hagen to Boy George, and from Madonna to Dresden Dolls. A normally reclusive figure, Lovich turned her back on the limelight after her third album No Man’s Land was released in 1982 amid disagreements with her record company about her unwillingness to compromise her groundbreaking visual style for the then newly emergent MTV. Subsequently she has recorded only two albums in the next thirty years. Lovich’s unique vocal and visual style, along with her catchy but experimental songwriting, has exerted a huge influence over alternative pop culture and garnered her many plaudits and continued interest. She has been described as everything from “Kate Bush on acid” to “the New Wave Maria Callas”. Her hits “Lucky Number”, “Say When”, “Bird Song” and “New Toy” are still regular features in the clubs and radio of Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA.

In May 2012, Lene joined forces with Subterraneans frontman Jude Rawlins for a celebration of the music of German composer Kurt Weill. During the tour they hatched an idea to form a new band to take Lene’s classic material back on the road. Very soon, however, it was realised by all concerned that whilst the band was brilliantly adept at celebrating Lene's history, it was something more than that. Turning down lucrative offers to play nostalgia tours, they instead furnished themselves with a DIY manifesto and christened themselves the LENE LOVICH BAND, diving into the sweaty rock clubs of Europe without a safety net and coming up, n the words of one reviewer, "festooned with metaphorical bouquets".

At present, the band's set is a rotation of songs from Lene's back catalogue, in particular her much celebrated first three albums, although some scene-stealing goodies from her last studio album Shadows and Dust, as well as B-sides and obscurities have also made the setlist.

The Lene Lovich Band are: Lene Lovich (vocals), Jude Rawlins (guitar), Kirsten Morrison (keyboards), Valkyrie (bass) and Morgan King (drums).

There is no code of dress, only honour.

Barbara Gogan, Sängerin der post-punk -new wave Band "The Passions" eröffnet im Vorprogramm.

Yellow Eyes (USA) / Anicon (USA)

Black Metal

Yellow Eyes has been releasing intriguing black metal since 2010. From New York City, NewYork, this four man team has been at the forefront of the underground American black metal scene. Most followers of the sub genre will readily recognize and acknowledge Yellow Eyes as a sort of leading force behind many of the newer black metal conglomerates where race, politics and religion are no longer the focal point of the lyrics. Depression, loss, nature, and solitude all seem to be the focus, and with that, the musical composition, andmelodic tales that are spun meld particularly well with the sub genre. Although this is not a particularly new take on writing, Yellow Eyes delivers a notable contribution that stands ahead and apart for many reasons.

Anicon began as a two-man recording project in late 2010 and would perform live for the first time as a full band in December of 2012. Since then Anicon have played countless shows,  completed numerous tours, and released 7 original recordings — "Entropy Mantra" is the 8th. They've been described as an atmospheric band and they've been described as a riff band — they are both. Their only goal has been to write the most compelling music within their ability and to perform it with conviction.

Scheisse Minnelli (D) / iN! (D)

Hardcore/ Punk / Wut Punk

Harkening back to the days when skaters were still considered rebels and punk was in the underground, Scheisse Minnelli channels the spirits of the sound and attitude of 80s west coast hc skate punk, blending raw punk riffing with musical prowess and poigniant lyrics that range from social issues to personal struggles into to a style all their own. Dedicated to their music and their often wreckless lifestyle, Scheisse Minnelli are a rare and shining example of practicing what one preaches. Though they’ve evolved…matured?...over the years, they show no signs of ever changing or calling it quits.

Formed in 2003, Scheisse Minnelli quickly made a name for themselves in the scene. They did their first European tour with Italian 80s HC legends Raw Power and since then have supported and toured with the likes of NOFX, Pennywise, Lagwagon, DRI, Poison Idea, Agent Orange, and Jello Biafra…just to name a few. Scheisse Minnelli has toured all over (SE Asia, Mexico, the USA, Europe, etc.) and played more shows than they can remember. To date, the band has released 4 full lengths and an assortment of splits, compilations and EPs. Their most recent release the Fifth of Skatehoven EP consists of 3 original songs and a hc punk cover version of Beethoven's 5th symphony!

Upon returning from their 4th North American tour the band set to work on writing new material. They hit the studio in November 2017 with legendary Copenhagen based sound engineer, Adam Schwartz, who they’d crossed paths with throughout the years on various tours with PW, Lagwagon and Jello. A new full length is set for release in 2018. In the meantime, the band plans to continue to play all over Europe and will be heading to Japan in the fall.

We are IN!

Einlass: 20h; Beginn: 21.30h, Eintritt: 8€

Danach BallroomBlitz!-Party mit DER SCHÖNE NILS; Eintritt frei, bis 5h

Cellophane Suckers (D) / The Backwood Creatures (D)

25 Jahre CELLOPHANE SUCKERS …

ROCK RAWK ROCK!!

Einlass: 20h; Beginn: 21.30h, Eintritt: 10€

Danach Shake Appeal-Party mit STIPJE ; Eintritt frei, bis 5h
